I purchased this rope new in mid 2010 and it has seen less than 10 outings with one very short fall of about 8 feet on 30 feet of rope. It's still in excellent shape and has always been stored in the rope bag, kept out of the sun and never exposed to any chemicals, washed or abused. There are no flat spots or any other issues with this rope and I would trust it for heavy use without any question.

The rope bag is in good condition, this is the backpack style bag with the built in tarp. It is missing the two aluminum clips used to cinch it down but those are easy enough to replace.

PS I coil my ropes like that for a few reasons but the main one being I have smaller hands and find it easier to manage that way.
