My granddaughters are growing their present packs so I promised to purchase new back packs for the next adventure. These are great pack for the family just starting and want to try it out without spend big dollars on packs that may not be used after one season. The back pack on the LEFT (blue) JanSport Original Scout are for small people 8 - 11 and the pack on the RIGHT (red) KELTY JR TIOGA 2000 would fit ages 9 - 13 years. I have TWO of each, AND both the Kelty & JanSport are adjustable. The JanSport I have modified by placing a backpacking belt on it as it is the "original" design without a padded belt and the Kelty has a manufacture designed padded belt.
