I got these awhile back to toss onto my Cold Cold World Valdez pack's fixed webbing hipbelt. The pack they're originally designed for has a fixed webbing belt and these are meant to slide on and off easily. They worked OK, but I'm a little too tall to reap the full benefit of them. For the right-sized person with a pack with a fixed webbing hipbelt, these would be a nice thing to throw on for approaches then take off for the actual climbing.
