Sizing down never really worked for me and having to say goodbye to a mint pair of Miura shoes is my punishment. As opposed to being punished wearing tight shoes.

I attempted to wear the Miura's on three separate pitches, over the course of several years, and I've finally come to grips that I'm a La Sportiva 45. Little or no wear on the toes. Never soaked in water or other funny business.  Please see photos below. Euro 44, US 10.5. $100 shipped.

The Five Ten Approach Pro shoes were worn on one day at the crag and then shelved. Generally clean - a little bit of dirt still clinging a year or so later. Size US11.5, Euro 45. More photos below. $45 shipped. The 'wet' look is from cleaning them up.
