FWIW: I have wide forefeet. I have loved my Gecko approach shoes, and these are similar in shape, accommodating my feet well. I have had other scarpa hiking boots in size 42.5 in the past that were too tight and had to return. these are perfect at size 42.  I most often wear size 9.5 shoes in other brands.
