I used this pack for a bunch of mountaineering objectives and find it to be just the right size for single-night light trips. We recently tried packing for a skimo trip and found that none of my spouse's backpacks can really handle the versatility of ski carry and hauling enough gear (other than her 70L backpacking pack).

If anyone has a variant 52 collecting dust in size small, I'm interested in purchasing.

I would prefer the following, but beggars can't be choosers: 

• Good condition (no funk, holes, damage)
• 2nd generation Variant (the one that uses a framesheet instead of the single aluminum stay)

While they're amazing packs, not interested in the Mutant because I want the versatility of the outer shovel pocket. Thanks!
