This is a great jacket for ice climbing or most other winter sports. It is a blend of hard-shell on top and breathable, stretchy soft-shell on the lower part. The upper torso hard shell (shoulders, chest, upper arms and hood) utilizes our H2No Performance Standard 3-layer 100% nylon ripstop fabric with a waterproof/breathable barrier. The remaining soft-shell areas are made of heavy-duty but highly breathable Polartec® Power Shield® fabric. This durable stretch-woven blend (57% polyester/36% nylon/7% spandex) uses Hardface® Technology that dramatically enhances the DWR (durable water repellent) finish’s resistance to wind, water, snow and abrasion.

The jacket’s brushed interior gives next-to-skin comfort; the helmet-compatible, 2-way-adjustable hood with laminated visor allows optimal visibility in bad conditions; and gusseted panels let you reach high without raising the body of the jacket.
