For Sale: Built Out 2018 Promaster Van

I am the second owner of this van, I purchased it in early 2020 then converted it myself. I have lived in it full time for around 2 years but have recently gotten an apartment again and my girlfriend also has a van so I have no need for it now. It’s great for weekend adventures to longer term living.

Year: 2018

Make: Ram

Model: Promaster 1500 136”WB High Roof

Mileage: 94k

Price: $49,500

Car stuff:

  • Oil changes every 5k miles or less (Manual says 10k), always premium synthetic

  • New front tires less than 5k miles ago

  • Good condition rear tires

  • Replaced pads/rotors at 92k

  • Replaced plugs and coils at 65k

  • OEM bluetooth and head unit

  • OEM backup cam and parking sensors that make parking and reversing a breeze

  • Aftermarket cruise control for long highway driving

  • 2in hitch receiver

  • Fits in a parking spot which means you can pretty easily drive it into cities

Build out:

  • Spray foam insulated walls/roof, board insulated floor

  • Divider for cockpit to living area keeps living area warm, private and secure

    • This also makes driving significantly quieter

  • Custom built maple cabinets throughout, not cheap particle board

  • Acacia butcher block counters

  • Premium waterproof Vinyl plank flooring

  • Welded supportless bed frame makes for extra storage, I can easily fit 3+ full size crash pads under the bed, I am sure a bike would fit as well

  • Sliding Door Window

  • Screen window at foot of bed for ventilation

  • Dual maxxair fans for great airflow, these can be run in the rain

    • With the screen window open and both fans running I stay very comfortable even on the hottest days of the summer

  • 2 Burner Propane stove top with electric start

  • 5lb propane tank (Lasts me months and 5$ to fill up)

  • Remote Propane cutoff switch

  • Dual CO/Propane alarm installed for safety while cooking inside

  • Diesel heater, this thing is the best

    • Thermostat controlled and will keep you toasty in the winter in Tahoe

  • Big actually usable sink

  • Premium Full size Casper mattress, this thing is legit more comfy than the bed in my last apartment, so comfy that I had to buy another

  • Lots of lights and USB chargers.

Electrical:

  • 400W of solar, probably the most you can fit on this van

  • 280Ah of lithium batteries, enough to run power for 5-6 days easily with my usage

  • Renogy Rover 40A MPPT Solar and Battery Isolator

    • This will use solar or your cars alternator to charge the house battery, great in the winter or in rainy weeks to charge the batteries while driving

    • This will also use solar to charge your starter battery if your house battery is full

    • Bluetooth dongle to look up charging stats via app

  • Battery monitor and display

  • 1200W Inverter with remote cutoff

    • Hardwired outlet on top of kitchen

  • Pot lights, including a dimmer in bed

  • 12V outlets near kitchen

  • Extra runs of electrical pre-ran to add stuff later if wanted

  • Cell phone booster wiring in place, needs new antenna (oops)

  • 50L Fridge (also can be a freezer)

Stuff that I am fixing up or that is less good:

  • Redoing the plumbing for the faucet to clean up the tubing

  • Tidying up some electrical wiring

  • Soft close on some of the drawers has worn out

  • Latching for big drawers is kind of ugly (but functional)

  • Some trim missing here and there

  • Driver seat is worn out on one side from previous owner, kept meaning to fix it but it never bothered me enough

  • Some cosmetic scrapes and dents on the outside from the previous owner.

I am probably forgetting some stuff but if you have any questions just ask.

Here are some photos of the van, I will add a few of the garage area soon!

Apparently MP doesn't want me to post more than 3 photos but the album above should have more.

Located in the bay area but happy to meet up in somewhere relatively driveable if you cover gas. Vegas, Yosemite, Tahoe, Smith, SoCal...
