Yes, it's a used rope. It's a crag rope, and even then it was mostly for kiddos on top rope. No one has ever whipped on this rope - not one time. I wouldn't put anyone at risk by lying about this. It's used, it's kinda dirty, but it is safe. My buddy fancies himself a mountaineer, hence the coil....

I bought it to do a big wall, but we got rained out, then my climbing partner moved away. I've been lugging it around.
