I bought this last November, so it’s about a year old with about 300 miles on it this summer. I used it primarily for the JMT. As many people have claimed, this is a very comfortable pack with moderate loads. The pack has plenty of life left in it, however, there are some signs of wear and are as follows:

There are three small holes smaller than a pen tip that are covered by two cuben fiber patches.

The bottom of the pack has a small cut but it did not pierce through both layers of cuben fiber, so it’d be easy to throw a patch on it.

There are some pine needles in the hip belt mesh.

There are two places inside the pack where the cuben fiber tape has become loose and dirty. I’m sure HMG could re-tape the pack for you if you want.

Modifications
I sewed two tabs on the velcro opening and, for me, it made it so much easier to open.

At the beginning of my hike, the zipper on the left hand pocket broke and since I rarely use hip belt pockets, I carefully cut it off with a razor. The job came out clean and it’s hard to tell there was a pocket there.
