These boots were used for a few days of vertical ice climbing over the past two seasons and are great but just a little too big for me. They are super warm, stiff and climb great. The heel toe rock is better than my Nepal Evo's which makes them much nicer to walk in. They are tall like the Evo's but have more ankle articulation. They also have more room in the toe box (width and height) than the Evo's though and are generally more comfortable. The front and rear welts are great and I never had a crampon pop off. I have Scarpa's and Lowa's as well and only the Lowa's are more comfortable (but they are only 8" tall without an integrated gaiter so not a fair comparison).

I weighed each boot at 2lbs 8oz so they are on the heavier side.
