- This is a lightweight, compact synthetic bag using "Light-Loft" insulation. It’s rated as a “30+ degree” bag without the insert, and includes a "snap-in" Light-Loft insert that brings the rating down into the 20’s. It’s been used 20+ times, so I’m guessing it’s more of a 40+ degree bag and the insert will keep you comfy down into the mid / upper 30’s.
