I bought this beautiful bag directly from Zpacks in January 2020 as my summer sleeping bag. I used it 8 nights in total — 1 test night in the backyard and 7 on the John Muir trail — and always with a base layer.  Though I love the weight, size, and compressibility, I ended up being a little too cold for comfort at the higher elevations and missed having a hood more than I thought I would.

I went for the extra length and width so I could toss and turn a bit, plus put my clothing in the footbox to keep them warm for the morning.  At 5′ 7″, I had way more than enough space, even with some of my clothing at the bottom.  (Yes, that extra space probably contributed to being cold.  Live and learn.)

With the Zpacks roll top dry sack (included), the bag weighs in at 1 lb. 1 oz.
