Sadly, (and a bit embarrassingly) I think I am going to go in another direction. As I recently posted about in the sub, I recently bought this brand new MLD Burn. As soon as I got it, I trimmed it up in order to document the process and reduce the weight. The following modifications were made:

• 10 of the webbing tabs and o-rings around the pack. I left the top four.
• The side compression strap system and D rings
• The front mesh buckle and strap
• The second female buckle on the roll top
• The Y strap buckle over the left shoulder
• The hip belt strap retaining elastic
• The hip belt pocket 1" elastic loops

These modifications saved 1oz from the stock pack weight making it weigh an even 16oz. The pack is in brand new condition other than this. Still smells new. Only took it on a single overnighter which was 24 miles.

I took it on one overnighter and it worked perfectly. I just found the hit belt to be the main source of weight and it didn't fit me super well either. So..If you want to save 8 weeks of waiting and don't want to have the hassle of trimming up the pack yourself, this is the pack for you.

I purchased it new for $220 plus $10 shipping and 6 week leadtime. I am hoping to sell it for $180 shipped.
