WTB Gatewood cape, tarptent Notch, Katabatic Alsek down quilt
Looking to move from ultra-heavy to ultralight...
In prep for a PCT attempt next summer I'm trying to put together a lighter shelter/sleeping system (time to say good bye to the 4lb backpacking tent). My thought is to use the gatewood cape as a shelter/rain protection for the southern portion of the trek until the weather/bugs justify a heavier shelter. Anyone's thought on this plan would be appreciated too!
A newer tarptent notch would be great (I've heard they some some additional features such as apex guyline connection points in the 2013 version)
