I am heading to AK for two weeks in mid-February where I will be conducting a series of personal gear comparisons on overnights and multi-day trips.

I own and regularly use two Patagonia R1’s ( 2013 ) and ( 2017 )models during winter, early and shoulder season trips both stateside and abroad. I value the recommendation and insight regarding the Melanzana Micro Grid Hoodie from numerous veteran thru-hikers and would like an opportunity to put one to a side by side comparison with the R1.

Happy to pay a fair price, but as I am always improving my multi-season setups I don't have the budget to shell out double the retail value when there are still items to upgrade and improve upon.

New or used, in good condition, any color. I'm 6’ 1”, 197# and although I've never handled one in person, my assumption is a large would be a proper fit.
