Hey! I have a spruce green 6x8ft Hyperlite Mountain Gear tarp. This tarp has 250miles on it. So it is in great shape. This tarp normally has 12 perimeter tie outs. I cut of the tie outs that aren’t really necessary for normal thruhiking. There are now 8 perimeter tie outs, that’s how many most company’s have. The tarp weighs just under 6.5 oz. it has no issues.
