I through hiked the PCT last year using an older model (purchased ~2009) ULA catalyst.
by the end of my trip, my pack was shredded, so I replaced it. However the new model (purchased may 2013) catalyst is HUGE (and heavy) compared to what I was used to. I tried it on a couple weekend trips but found that I never seem to carry enough so that it is usually empty/floppy.
