Take a look at this photo album. There are a few features worth noticing - the adjustable torso length, the wide and flexible hipbelt, and the compression panel formed by compressing the front pocket with the pack. The compression pocket has tough, abrasion-resistant material inside.

The suspension consists of two aluminum stays. The torso length is adjustable for 15-21 inch torsos. It carries well with skis, snowshoes, and whatever else you can strap to it.
