Hey guys,

Strange request. I have a friend who lives in an NYC highrise and has what some might consider an irrational fear of fire. She wants to have a "jump kit", so to speak, with a harness, rope, rappel device, and locking biner ready, so in the event of a fire, she can rappel out her window to safety. Bizarre? Yes. The truth? Yes. I have taught her how to rappel, and gave her one of my played out belay devices and lockers. She has a harness. Now all she needs is a rope.

Anyone have one they want to donate to the cause? Any rope 30m or longer will work. All this will ever be used for is a one-time emergency escape, so most retired gear would work. I can pay $5 for your time, plus shipping to NYC.

Please let me know if anyone can help me out in this strange quest.
