This is a large MLD Burn with pack lid.

The pack has been slightly modified. I unstitched the bottom of extension (connecting to the Dyneema), took 2 inches off the silnylon, and then sewed the extension back onto the pack carefully and as neatly as possible by hand (no sewing machine) exactly as it had been before, with two separate rows of stitching. The drawstring was left untouched.

I found that it was just too long for the light loads I was carrying. Plus I was using the lid so I didn't need all that silnylon to roll up.

The pack and new stitches show no signs of stress. All my pack weight was 15lbs or less. In my opinion, the integrity of the pack has not been compromised because of the reduced extension.
