Looking for an upgrade to my fiance’s GG Mariposa. She is 5’3″, 118lb 15″ torso. We have since upgraded a number of items in our gear list and the Mariposa is silly-big. She has a baseweight of around 7lbs. We are looking for something that is versatile – something that can adapt to an overnighter and still perform well for a 5-day expedition. I have had a great experience with my HMG Southwest in Black and love that I can remove the stays for shorter/lighter trips, and put them pack in for bigger loads. A frameless pack might fall short for our loads on longer trips we might do in the future. If you think we can make a MLD Prophet work on a 5-day trip then let me know and sell me on it! Otherwise, if you have a HMG in small 2400 let me know!
