I ordered these from Prana, tried them on once and they don't fit like most medium-sized shorts.  The length is a 10" inseam and is pretty typical for a medium to me as a 6 foot guy, but the waist band fits more like a large (they say 34-35" waist).  I think $40 including shipping (in the U.S.) is a fair deal for these shorts (that retail at $60) if you can pay using venmo or Paypal gift so there's no fees for me.
