Headed out on my first multi-day trip to Isle Royale in two weeks and looking to finish up my gear list. I'll start another thread looking for a backpack.

Looking for a pair of trekking poles. Preferably 3 section, aluminum, and with a flip or tab locking system, but open.

Headlamp. I hear headlamps are so much better than flashlights so I'm looking for one. Wondering if I should still bring a flashlight?

Binoculars. Any old pair will do really. Just looking for something to check out the sights with.

Compass, whistle, firestrike, multitool or any odd or end you think I might appreciate let me know.
