TLDR of thread below: 35CFM is an ideal air permeabiltiy for being able to move perspiration during aerobic activity (UL Backpacking), while still having solid wind/water resistance.

This jacket passes the "2 coffee filter" equivalent test found in that thread. Breathing through the jacket feels about the same as 2 coffee filters, which is far more breathable than other wind shirts, including post-2012 Houdini.
