Very effective at doing the hugging thing, the elastic is not needed IMHO

I am bit on the heavy side and found that when pushing into colder temps and wearing a puffy jacket (size XL Micropuff) I was compressing the down in this bag and losing some effectiveness. My skinny son, on the other hand, loves his UL Spiral #3 and sleeps comfortably warm in it below freezing.
