Woolrich Mountain Parka, An Old Classic in Near New Condition. Size large, a bit on the smaller side. Tan with dark blue lining, 65% polyester, 35% cotton tightly woven fabric. All the original mountain parka features that were standard in yesteryear design: 1 gusseted, 1 zippered chest pocket and hip pockets with Velcro closures. Hip pockets backed with hand slots and zippered access to a full, upper back panel pocket. Heavy duty YKK zipper with snapped draft flap. Makes a nice travel jacket without being to technical. Kelty 40th Anniversary Frame Pack – Size Medium: 1952–1992. Kelty green pack bag, flat black anodized frame. Frame packs are no longer vogue but still one of the best ways to hump a heavy load. Lots of updated features compared to older models.
Suspension –
•Heliarc welded aircraft grade tubular aluminum frame with curvature at the bottom creating a shelf below the pack bag. Top, adjustable frame extension.
•Padded shoulder straps with adjustable load lifter straps and a chest strap.
•Broad, mesh panel back band.
•Padded hip belt integrated with a padded lumbar pad. Some adjustment here for torso length.
•Hip belt tensioner straps stabilize the lower pack.
•Foam padding has not hardened.
Pack Bag –
• The pack is divided with a zip out partition creating a full length compartment. Zippered access to the lower sleeping bag compartment. About an 8 oz, coated pack cloth. Coating is not delaminating.
•All zippers are double pull, nylon coil and work fine.
•Left side pocket is full length with a zippered divider. Individual pockets on the right. Slots behind the pockets and between bag. Large panel pocket on the upper front.
•Top extension skirt with draw cord.
•Top flap has a cordura nylon crampon panel with lashing points. The same located on front of the lower access panel to the packbag.
Size medium. There is some, not much, torso length adjustment with hip belt positioning. Primarily though, the shoulder straps point of attachment on the cross member may be repositioned onto either side of the tube or jumping up to the next higher cross tube. From the center line of the hip belt to the lowest shoulder strap attachment upward to the highest possible point of attachment, ranges from 16 inches to 20 and1/2 inches. From 16 & 1/2 to 20″ without an attachment point unless one lowers and uses the very long clevis pin where adjustments to the load stabilizer straps are made.
Potential for increasing torso length.
The pack is in excellent, lightly used condition with the stitching all good. There are no tears, holes, wear, stains or critter damage on the fabric. 1 very slight abrasion spot on the front panel pocket. The anodized finish on the frame has worn off here and there during the time of use. Asking $90.00 plus the cost of shipping on this item.

Patagonia Full Side Zip Shelled Fleece Pants – Possibly Unisex
Gray nylon outer with blue Poly Pro fleece lining. Size medium, men’s sizing but these pants could be for women as well – 39″ at the hips. Full side zippers with double pulls, zip up from the bottom and/or zip down from the top. Velcro closures at the waist allow some adjustment – from 35″ waist to max of 38″. Use suspenders if your waist is smaller. Length is 30″. No pockets, no waist elastic, no cuff adjustment. In excellent, hardly used condition with no imperfections. Cons – zippers have an inner draft flap which is easy to snag when zipping. If I were wearing them, I would stitch seam binding or very light webbing on the flap to stiffen and eliminate how carefully you need to zip. I could have this done for you, ask for a price. Taped seams, full interior nylon lining, elastic and draw cord waist, extra long ankle zippers to top of calf. Black. Overall in near excellent condition, however there is one minor surface scrape on left knee. Pants stuff into the rear zippered pocket and cuffs are elasticized with snap closures. 2nd photo shows the abrasion on the left knee. I have looked closely and it does not appear to have gone deeper than the surface. These are an all season shell pant that with the nylon lining slip on easily over a layer. Asking $25.00.

Gerry Roach moved to Boulder Colorado as a lad in 1954, and started climbing rocks and mountains shortly thereafter. Over six decades later, he continues pursuing his mountaineering passion with all the energy he can muster.

In the intervening years, Gerry became a world-class mountaineer. After climbing Mount Everest in 1983, he went on to become the second person to climb the highest peak on each of the seven continents in 1985. In over 60 years of mountaineering that span 7 different calendar decades, Gerry has climbed in dozens of states and countries. He has been on 29 Alaskan expeditions, 10 Andean expeditions and 7 Himalayan expeditions, including first ascents in the kingdom of Bhutan. In 1997, he summited 26,360-foot Gasherbrum II in the Karakorum without supplemental oxygen. In 2000, Gerry became the first person to climb the ten highest peaks in North America. After this climb, he was the subject of a Fast and Light article in Rock and Ice. In 2003, Gerry became the first person to climb every major peak over 16,000 feet in North America. Gerry is a member of the Colorado Mountain Club, the Highpointers Club, the Sierra Club, and the American Alpine Club.
Closer to home, Gerry has climbed more than 2,000 peaks in Colorado, including all the Fourteeners, which he completed for the first time in 1975. He finished climbing every ranked Thirteener in Colorado in 2010. He finished climbing every named and ranked peak in the Indian Peaks Wilderness and Rocky Mountain National Park in 2001. He has also climbed every peak in the Colorado counties of Boulder, Gilpin and Clear Creek, and every named peak in Jefferson County. He completed visits to all 64 Colorado counties in 2001, and became the tenth person to achieve this feat. He is also a member of the coveted Highpointers’ Double Century Club for visiting more than 250 county summits nationwide, and he has done all 50 of the US State Summits. In 2004, Gerry completed the 99 classic desert peaks on the Sierra Club’s fabled Desert Peaks List. Pursuing another venue, Gerry has visited the highpoints of 55 of the 59 US National Parks.
Gerry is also an accomplished rock climber. His first book, Flatiron Classics, is a guide to the trails and easier rock climbs in the Flatirons above Boulder. His second book, Rocky Mountain National Park, is a guide to the classic hikes and climbs in the park. His guide Colorado’s Indian Peaks, now in its second edition, remains the definitive mountaineering guide to that special area. In his guide Colorado’s Fourteeners, Gerry conveys his intimate knowledge of, and love for Colorado’s high peaks. In Colorado’s Lost Creek Wilderness, Gerry expanded the scope of his guidebooks, and continued to convey his love for Colorado’s mountains. His most recent guidebook is Colorado’s Thirteeners, which he co-authored with Jennifer. After returning from his numerous expeditions, Gerry climbs in Colorado’s mountains to re-hone his skills, and write about his experiences. His first three narratives are Transcendent Summits, Ride the Breath, and Orthogonal Adventures. Mountaineering in his rugged and beautiful home state forms the foundation for his successful expeditions to Earth’s great peaks. In 2005, the Sierra Club gave Gerry the coveted Francis P.
