I’m looking for a tent to house me (6’3″, 210 pound guy) and either my 7 year old daughter or my 45 pound standard poodle, or possibly both later on.  Looking for light weight, and just something to get us started.  I do want something with a true floor, easy entrance/exit, good ventilation.  I’ve been looking at tarptents, copper spur, big sky, etc.  Not ready to go full tarp and would prefer free standing, but I’m open. Most backpacking would be in the Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico areas, and in above freezing temps.  I just want to get something to get out with for a while, evaluate, and maybe then I can make some better choices on what would work for me.  Let me know if you have something like this that you’re not using, and maybe we can make a deal.
