I just bought a Shangrila 3 and I’m hoping to find an alternative to the heavy aluminum pole that’s included. So, I think I want a thick collapsible carbon fiber pole, ideally one that serves as a hiking staff if needed. I believe this needs to be close to six feet tall, a bit under.

If you have something to offer please let me know. Any advice would be greatly appreciated too.

(I have thin carbon fiber trekking poles, which I could lash together, but they’re small at ~4 oz and I’m not sure they’re strong enough.)
