My ultra-light days are over but this is the single best piece of gear I've owned. Very versatile. I've slept under just the tarp itself with a rain poncho for a ground cloth. I've used it to create a huge awning over my tent. I've used it to keep pouring rain off us while we stopped for lunch on long hikes, etc.

The 8 additional tie outs I had added make the number ways you can pitch this tarp almost endless.
