Used for the 2012 ice season. There is a small (<0.5") hole in the side that I patched with cuben hybrid repair tape and two small (<0.5") holes in the bottom that I patched with a large piece of black cuben hybrid tape and seam grip. The bottom patch is unnecessary in the sense that it serves to prevent additional abrasion to the bottom, rather than just remedying the small holes, which only pierce the bottom fabric, not both layers. You can remove the black patch and scrape off the seam grip if you want. It would probably save 1 oz. Other than these small cosmetic blemishes, the pack is in fantastic condition and will last for many years of climbing and hiking.

You'll see in the photos that I removed the stock elastic crampon cord. I prefer to use thinner cord and a cord lock than HMG's super burly bungee style connection. You can buy cord and a cord lock to rig up your own at any gear store.
