I bought these new last year and only used them on a week long trip. Unfortunately, it rained everyday in the Uintas. They worked great at keeping my hands dry, however, my trekking poles did a little damage along the thumb areas. They are not worn through (see second photo of the most damaged spot), however, they are thin in a few spots on the thumb. I don't know for sure, yet wondered if they could be repaired with some CF tape and might make a nice rain mitt for someone who doesn't use trekking poles.
