PIF: HMG 4400 SW
Edit: pack is on its way to Austin
I'm PIF'ing my HMG 4400 SW pack. This is an older model, purchased new in early 2013. This was before the 4400 SW was even a standard option. It uses 50D hybrid cuben fabric and does not have the plastic stay sheet the current models have (it still has the two aluminum stays); as a result, it is much lighter than the current version.
This pack has seen a fair amount of use - I would say hundreds of trail miles, maybe over 1000. Surprisingly, I do not see any holes or tears, but the pack has multiple dirt and wear stains.
The hipbelt on the pack, however, seems like it has been buckling under moderate loads lately. I am not 100% sure why. Given that the pack's torso length has always been a little short for me, this small amount of hipbelt collapse now results in an uncomfortable carry for me. If you're on the short side of a medium or tall side of a small, this pack may still work fine for you. Also, maybe someone wants this pack just to part it out.
Modifications I've done: removed the sternum strap, trimmed the hipbelt and shoulder straps a couple inches, and cut out the mesh water bladder pocket on the inside.
Other details:
Torso length: Medium
Weight: 30.3 oz
I'm asking $20 to cover shipping CONUS (I'm just going to put it in a large flat-rate box) and that you post a PIF too. Pack goes to first person to POST they want it.
Some pictures:This is me trying to illustrate the hipbelt collapse. There's always been some amount, but as the pack has aged, it's increased:
