"6.5" Vargo Ti Stakes .27oz / 8gms The best we could find for all around tarp and UL shelter use. • Fluorescent Orange Handle - Makes it a lot harder to loose...Well worth the extra 1-gm of coating and 50 cents. • Conically tip penetrates ground easily, snakes past small rocks/sticks and is not "snag sharp" like a cheaper slant cut stake. A LOT lower change of nicking a rip in your tarp. • Large comfort shaped handle for pushin' it in and pullin' it out • Diameter big enough not to flex under strong hand pressure while staking We used to carry the smaller .22oz Ti stakes, but don't anymore - too flimsy. These weigh a tiny bit more but hold a much wider range of ground and higher wind with less need to carry extras for doubling up.
