I'm trying to dial in the right down layer, and have decided that I'm the weight savings isn't as much a priority for me at the moment - we just had a baby, so won't be taking too many trips in the near future. I'll be getting something with a focus on durability instead.

This is in good condition EXCEPT one small 1" tear that has been patched in the back shoulder, with the patch lasting about 6 months so far. The jacket is incredible - feels just as warm as my patagonia high loft down hoody, which I don't understand at all. It is super light, lots of loft, excellent hood, and combines 850 fp down with synthetic in a few places (cuffs, armpit) etc.
