Mens mountaineering boots, Mammut Nordwand 2.1 High, brand new, original tags and box

Brand new, unused, Mammut mens Nordwand 2.1 High mens mountaineering boots.

The Mammut Men's Nordwand 2.1 High Boot might be overkill for your summer ascent of New Hampshire's Mount Washington, but it'll be the boot you want if you're headed to the Himalayas or venturing up Denali. Mammut's newest alpine boot, the Nordwand is a 2-in-1 super-gaiter boot that boasts a carefully-considered design to maximize warmth, capitalize on comfort, and deliver solid and sure climbing in the world's highest mountain ranges.

The gaiter of the Nordwand is made with a tough, wear-resistant material to handle the wear and tear intrinsic to climbing alpine ice and rock, and it's reinforced with a full-wrap rubber rand for additional protection from the rugged alpine environments the Nordwand was built for. Mammut even added its Chimney ventilation system to help ensure good breathability and limit sweat accumulation. The inner boot is insulated with Thinsulate Ultra insulation, making the boot capable of keeping your foot warm in temperatures down to -31 degrees Fahrenheit.

Mammut designed the Nordwand 2.1 around its Easy Entry System, which allows the boot to be taken on and off with gloves on, so you don't have to expose your fingers to the cold after an already cold day on the ropes. Ensuring a secure and comfortable fit, the inner boot houses a wide hook-and-loop power strap, Boa closure system, and drawcord lace closure. The inner boot is composed of a synthetic leather, which is nearly identical to traditional nubuck leather, except lighter. Mammut's patented carbon insole is double insulated for increased warmth and sits above a stiff, light, and compressed Poro wedge midsole and Vibram Teton sole for a good dampening properties and climbing feel that's hard to beat.
