I've worn this maybe a dozen days. I've only used it for Spring/Summer mountaineering in the Cascades, it is perfect for that in my opinion. I don't use it much where I live (it's colder). It's in good shape. Not traveling much this year :-)

Montbell is a Japanese brand that's held in pretty high regard but not that popular in the US due to limited distribution. 

This is a fully featured midweight synthetic belay jacket (adjustable [helmet compatible] hood/waist/cuffs, 2-way zip, lots of pockets including two inner drop pockets for your wet gloves, water resistant shell and zips), not a compromised ultralight piece. Which you prefer is up to you obviously. Fit is appropriate to go over all your layers. The Exceloft insulation is "substantially continuous" according to one of the scientist types on backpackinglight who took a Montbell jacket apart (ie longer lasting than typical short staple synthetic insulation like Primaloft).
