I'm curious about shipping climbing gear overseas, potentially to Belgium. It would be a medium package slightly heavier than 1 lb but less than 2 lbs. The value is more than $300.

I estimate ~$71 for the package and ~$12 for the insurance via USPS International. 

I looked over the 2976-R custom form. 

I wanted to verify that I can ship climbing gear to Belgium without issues, no surprises or additional fees after the package goes out.

Also, will the Belgian be required to pay taxes on the declared value when he receives the package?

If you have any helpful legit suggestions, thanks again in advance! I've never shipped outside North America.
