I am 5'3 and my head barely fits in the hood. Anyone smaller than me would feel pretty good in it I think.

Last, but not least! I very used and loved  Marmot 15 degree synthetic sleeping bag. Size Mens long  It would work great as a first sleeping bag for that car camping / cragging trip! This thing has been tested on Rainier and Longs Peak people! With a quick wash it's good as new and ready for more adventures.
