Black Diamond Fuel Ice Tools - $280

A set of Black Diamond Fuel ice tools with the Ice+ picks.  

The tools and picks have been used for one full season of climbing.  

The heads and shafts have had much of the paint / annodization rubbed off.  This is a cosmetic issue and does not affect safety or performance in any way.

The upper grips have a small tear, which isn't significant when wearing gloves but might be noticeable when using the tools with bare hands.  I have wrapped the upper grips with mastic tape to prevent further tearing.  

The picks have been modified / reprofiled for improved mixed climbing performance.  

Escape Rubber Drytooling Picks For Black Diamond Tools - $100

These picks have 2 layers of c4 shoe rubber that can be installed on black diamond ice tools for indoor drytooling, without damaging soft surfaces (plastic climbing holds, wood, aluminum, etc).  

There are cracks in the upper plastic, but the cracks do not seem to affect the performance.

186 cm Volkl BMT 109 Skis with Tecton Bindings and STS Skins - $800

 

 

These big mountain touring skis are best suited for variable snow conditions (soft and hard snow).  Skis are in fair condition with some shallow scratches on the top sheet and base.  No damage to the core or sidewalls.  The scratches on the base can easily be repaired.  Bindings and skins are in good condition.

The skis are currently mounted with Fritchi Tecton Bindings for a BSL of 306mm (2nd mount).

This set-up is ideally suited for skiing packed powder and spring corn conditions.  It works well for both resort skiing and backcountry skiing.

There is small amount of scratching and peeling of the top sheet.  Effect is cosmetic and does not affect ski performance.

There are some very slight scratching on the bases, but nothing that would warrant a PTEX repair.  

Edges have not been sharpened and the bases have never been ground or repaired.  The edges are still sharp enough for my purposes, but you might want to sharpen them if you plan to ski aggressively in icy conditions.
