For sale: a Sierra Designs Elite Cagoule rain shell. Unisex XL size, measures 26″ across the armpits, 39″ from the base of the hood to the hem, 38″ from the center of the neck to the cuff and 7.4 ounces on my scale. If you don’t want breathable membrane rain gear or a poncho, the is the missing link. I wear a men’s large and this is a comfortable size, giving a little more “bellows effect” to expel moist air and room for layering in camp. The long cut may allow you to forego paint pants in warmer conditions. It has 15″ long side openings at the bottom to allow it to drape over your hip belt, increasing airflow. The neck opening is 14″ deep and has Velcro dots, so it will still vent between the Velcro when closed. The hood has a soft visor cut and elastic drawstring. The cuffs have partial elastic and a Velcro adjuster. There are baffled armpit vents and 6″ vents on each side even with your pecs so you can get air in and around your upper harness too.
