One of my first posts on reddit went pretty well talking about packs. I'm also interested in a tent now. I have a trip planned for April down in the Needles in Canyonlands Utah. I have been using a hammock, and it has done great. This trip however that isn't going to be a possibility. I am tall, 6'5" or so, and would like to have enough room to not be cramped, but keep the weight down. I may also do some trips with my dog this summer, so something with some extra width might be good as well.
