Selling my Orvis Helios 2 “covert” edition 9′ 8-wt 4-piece rod, w/ Orvis Battenkill IV reel. This package retailed for ~$750 new. Got them two years ago thinking I was going to get into larger lake/bass fishing. Since then, I’ve literally pulled them out twice… once to cast in my yard, and once on a vacation in Cancun (where I cast it for ~10 min before the guide said I had to use his rod). The “covert” edition refers to the murdered-out matte black finish of the rod. I believe Orvis made a version of this rod for one of the Team USA fly fishermen and he won a major competition w/ it, giving a lot of credit to the unique dark finish. Its a beautiful rod :)

As I said, retail on this was over $750… I’m asking $500 shipped.
