WTB: Budget lightweight tent, sleeping bag, and pad
Hi, we just received a small amount of funding for our school’s outdoor rec club to put together a kit of loaner gear. We are looking for a 2-person tent, 20 degree sleeping bag, and four season sleeping pad. It’s a pretty tight budget, so we’re not expecting high-end gear, but we do want to get quality lightweight/low-bulk stuff that we can use for many years down the road. We do a bit of winter camping, so it’s important that it be extendable into the cold months. Some ideas of what we’re looking for:
Tent: Marmot Tungsten 2p, REI Passage 2, or potentially 2 person tarp tent like the SMD Lunar Duo
Sleeping bag: Kelty Cosmic Down 20, Eddie Bauer Snowline 20 Down
Pad: Thermarest Prolite Plus
