This is a fantastic lightweight pack.that weighs 39 ounces on my scale.  I've used it with loads approaching 39 lbs total (lots of water on that trip) and it was very comfortable.  I usually ran it around 30lbs and It felt like part of my back.  Make sure you bend the single aluminum stay to suit your back shape once you get it!
